Tom is a biotechnology founder and operator whose experience includes advancing an original therapeutic concept from preclinical development through FDA approval.

Over more than 25 years, he has founded 12 life sciences companies, participated in two initial public offerings—one as a founding employee and one as a founding board member—and completed partnership and co-development transactions.

His operating experience spans manufacturing, toxicology, clinical development, regulatory strategy and the recruitment and leadership of multidisciplinary teams. He has also secured non-dilutive financing and worked with scientific founders, academic researchers and industry partners to advance new technologies.

At Crosswalk, Tom leads scientific evaluation, portfolio strategy and company development. His responsibilities include management recruitment, development priorities, board leadership and strategic partnerships. His underwriting considers how the science, intellectual property, development pathway, financing and commercial proposition fit together—and what must be established before a company advances to its next stage.
